General Information
Parent & Caregiver contact information for emergencies
We may need to contact you regarding your child, so if any of your contact details change or you change address, please contact our school office on 07 533 1227 as soon as possible so that we can update our records.
Student Absences
We ask you to call the school before 9.30am on the day of absence so that we know the child’s whereabouts. If we have not been notified, then you will receive a text. Please reply with a reason for your child’s absence so that we may update the daily register.
Bus Information
A free bus service is available to and from Te Puke and the surrounding districts. Please enquire about bus timetables and pick up and drop off points.
Pupils are expected to follow the school bus rules and be guided by the monitors to ensure safe travel to and from school. If your child travels by bus in the morning but will not be returning by bus in the afternoon, please make sure their teacher is aware of this. Any changes to how your child is to leave school need to be sent in a note so we know the arrangements. It is always better to send a note than ring. If we have not been notified, your child will be instructed to follow the usual routine.

School Bus / Traffic Wardens
Bus monitors and traffic wardens check off walking lines and car lines and ensure the pupils are dispatched home safely. The teachers supervise this on a daily basis.
Change to after school arrangements
If your usual after-school transport arrangements change, then please send your child with a note or call the office before 2:45pm.
Clothing—Personal Items
Please ensure that all your child’s clothing and shoes are named. We collect unnamed lost property and put it in a box by the junior toilets. Parents should check this every time they come to school. Unclaimed, unnamed property is given to charity at the end of each term.
Dental Clinic
The Dental Therapists are located at Te Puke Intermediate School and can be contacted on 07 573 6310. We have a visit from the mobile dental clinic once a year where all of our children are examined and treated.
Stationery Requirements
Stationery packs are available through the office at reduced prices.
